The Summerhill Hotel

This amazing Victorian house was once the private residence of the chaplain of the Royal Naval college. The guest rooms are as stunning as is the building itself, offering luxury and comfort.

There are single, twin, double and family rooms available, some with balconies. All have en-suite facilities with free Wifi, TV, blackout curtains, tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries, radio alarm clock, hair dryer, iron & ironing board. We also have disability friendly rooms and disabled toilets throughout the hotel. In the morning you can choose a delicious breakfast from our extensive menu, aimed to please everyone. With a choice of beverages and our own Summerhill English breakfast or the Summerhill Vegetarian breakfast which is just as hearty. We can also provide packed lunches by prior arrangement. There is a fully licensed restaurant available offering an a la carte menu should you require an evening meal.

There is free car parking available, with the golf course, beach and park very close by and the harbour and town centre minutes away offering bars, bistros, restaurants and great coastal walks. Torquay is 3 miles away and the Castles of Dartmouth and Berry Pomeroy within easy reach. There really is something for everyone here!
