The Rookery

The Rookery is a superb self-catering holiday home for 4 guests. This is a late 19th century former servants’ residence situated in the grounds of Glenholme Country House on the outskirts of the town of Kirkcudbright. Owners Laurence and Jennifer live in the main house and will be on hand to offer a warm welcome.

The interior has been decorated to a high standard, with many characterful original features remaining. The living room has an open fire in the cast iron fireplace, sofas and a dining table. There is a fully-equipped kitchen including an electric double oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a double en suite bedroom, a twin en suite room and a private garden area outside.

The owners can provide 3-course evening meals by arrangement, freshly made from local ingredients including produce from the garden. Off road car parking is available. Glenholme stands in an acre-and-a-half of mature landscaped gardens with garden benches and seating areas where guests can relax with a drink or have a picnic.
