The Piece of Cheese

The Piece of Cheese is the only triangular-shaped cottage in England, offering self-catering accommodation in the Old Town area of Hastings. An unusual 3-cornered building built in the late 19th century, it has a quirky shaped interior, beamed ceilings and original fireplace; providing a comfortable holiday home for adults only.

Accommodating 2, there is an open plan living area downstairs with comfortable seating, a small library, television, coal burning stove, dining table / chairs and a well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs in the cottage, there is a double bedroom and an en suite shower room. Gas central heating is provided throughout. The cottage is located down a narrow lane and has a courtyard garden. On-road permit parking for cars is available nearby.

Hastings Old Town is tucked between 2 cliffs, just a 15-minute walk east of the main town centre. It has a funicular railway, the shingle-covered Stade beach, the Fisherman’s Museum, Contemporary Gallery, Blue Reef Aquarium and Shipwreck Museum, plus lots of independent shops, cafés and other places to eat and drink.
