Pitmedden Bothy

Pitmedden Bothy is a lovely self-catering cottage situated in this small and pretty village, near Ellon. Just 7 miles from the coastal villages along the North Sea and 12 miles from the City of Aberdeen, it is perfectly placed for exploring Aberdeenshire. Sleeping 2, accompanying dogs are also welcome to stay.

There is a sitting room with a TV, sofa, armchair and electric fire; a kitchen; double bedroom with a feature stone wall and log burning stove; a bathroom and central heating. Outside, there is a terraced garden with seating. Off-road parking is available for a car and there are buses to Aberdeen and Ellon from around the corner.

Situated midway between Ellon and Oldmeldrum, Pitmedden has local shops, a pub, and fish and chip takeaway. The village is home to Pitmedden Garden, originally created in the 17th century and gifted to the National Trust for Scotland in 1952. As well as impressive floral displays and parterre garden, there is an award-winning café.
