The Factor's House

The Factor’s House is a beautiful stone cottage situated in the Grampian foothills, between Huntly and Keith. Attached to the main farmhouse, in its own self-contained wing, it was originally part of the estate manager’s house called ‘Smallburn’. Today, it provides a Visit Scotland 4-Star rated self-catering home for 2 adults, with room for an extra guest or child if required.

The sitting room / conservatory provides a comfortable place to relax, with the surrounding windows flooding the room with sunlight in the morning and evening. It is equipped with a wood burning stove for chillier evenings and also has a TV. The kitchen has all the modern amenities including a washing machine and microwave, with a circular dining table for eating together.

Upstairs, is a double bedroom, and a modern bathroom with bathtub and shower. The sitting room can house a folding bed. Outside the cottage, guests will find a garden, car parking and acres of forests surrounding the farm which visitors are more than welcome to explore. Dogs are allowed at The Factor’s House and stabling can also be arranged for visiting horses.
