Lahloo Bed and Breakfast is a 17th century stone house in the harbour town of Anstruther. The house was built in 1700, and was the birthplace of Captain John Smith, the master of the Lahloo, one of the most successful of the China tea clippers. We have ornaments and decorations throughout the house celebrating our historical link. We are proud to have a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

Rooms are comfortably furnished with king sized beds, en suite facilities, Wifi, TV, hairdryer and beverage tray with tea and coffee making facilities. You can relax in our guest lounge or sit outside in the garden. Breakfast is served in our light and airy breakfast room with a varied choice of buffet and cooked options.

We are close to all the restaurants, museums and fish and chip shops in the town, with the harbour just around the corner. We are also a 15 minutes drive away from the famous St Andrews Golf Club. Whatever your reason for visiting this beautiful area of East Scotland, you will be guaranteed a warm welcome from host Jean at Lahloo.
