Carleton Green

Carleton Green is a Grade II-listed country house built in 1749 set within an acre of gardens. We provide bed and breakfast accommodation in Holmrook, a charming village within the Lake District National Park. Our location is ideal for walking, cycling, visiting Muncaster Castle, Ravenglass, Seascale and more. The valleys of Eskdale and Wasdale are just minutes away and waiting to be explored!

Our guest rooms have views of Muncaster Fell and en suite or private shower / bathrooms. We have a deluxe king studio, 2 deluxe queen rooms, a king room with garden view and a suite. The rooms include king size or super king beds, memory foam mattress, bathrobes, a TV, hospitality tray and hairdryer. The suite room also includes an iPod dock. Downstairs there are 2 rooms available for guests with limited mobility. Breakfast includes a cooked English breakfast, Eggs Benedict, Eggs Florentine or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, accompanied by fresh fruit salad, speciality breads and fruit juices. Food is home-made, locally sourced and made with Fairtrade products.
