The Old Farm House

The Old Farmhouse is a holiday cottage on a family-run smallholding outside of Matlock. An 18th century cottage nestled in 5 acres of grounds with views across open fields and the undulating scenery of the Peaks, this property is ideally placed for a holiday in Derbyshire.

You will find original exposed beams, an inglenook fireplace and vaulted ceilings. There is a cosy lounge with log burning stove, sofa bed, TV and DVD player. The kitchen / diner includes washing machine and there is a dining table. For sleeping, there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. We can also provide an additional camp bed if required. The cottage has a drying room for outdoors gear. The enclosed garden has a patio and lawn and a children’s play area. There is off-road parking for 2 cars and we welcome pets by arrangement.

The accommodation is close to many places and attractions in the area including Matlock Bath, Bakewell and Chatsworth House. Hosts Shelley and Steve Littlewood are keen mountain bikers and walkers so are more than happy to suggest interesting walks and cycleways around the area.
