The Retreat Bed & Breakfast

A warm welcome awaits guests at The Retreat Bed and Breakfast in the historic town of Shaftesbury. A short walk to the town centre where you can find, shops, restaurants and pubs, this B & B has been owned by Sheena and Bernard since 2000. Guests are guaranteed friendly service and great hospitality.

All our rooms are decorated to give them a light and airy feel. Each is very well presented and equipped with en suite facilities, TV, DVD and a beverage tray. Choose from single, double, twin and family rooms. A delicious breakfast will be served in our Georgian dining room. We serve options such as a full English, kippers or omelettes and we can cater for special diets. There is a comfortable guest lounge and on-site car parking.

Shaftesbury is a bustling market town with a rich history. The town has magnificent views over Thomas Hardy’s Blackmore Vale. Shaftesbury has plenty of shops, places to eat and friendly inns. There are numerous historic houses within an easy drive, including the National Trust's house and gardens at Stourhead, or Longleat House and Safari Park. Bath, Stonehenge, Salisbury and Dorset's Jurassic coast are also all easily accessible.
