Ballycastle Backpackers

Ballycastle Backpackers have a hostel and self-catering cottage along the seafront in Ballycastle. Surrounded by sea views and close to the beautiful landscapes and attractions of the North Antrim coast, we welcome many ramblers, cyclists, groups and families. With a variety of accommodation to suit all budgets, everyone can expect a comfortable stay.

Joe Charlie’s Cottage is a traditional cottage for 4 guests. It has an open plan living area with cosy lounge including 3 piece suite, TV and wood burning stove, a dining table and kitchenette with washing machine. There are 2 en suite bedrooms and an enclosed rear courtyard. The hostel is an 18th century house renovated to offer comfortable private rooms, family-sized rooms and dormitories.

There is a communal kitchen and there are many cafes and restaurants nearby if you prefer not to cook. There are plenty of outdoors activities in the area to enjoy. The ferry to Rathlin Island is a short walk away and there are good local bus services to the many attractions along the coast, including the Giant’s Causeway, Ballintoy, Bushmills and Coleraine.
