The Gables

The Gables is a family-run bed and breakfast, located in the charming market town of Bridport. This Edwardian house is surrounded by lovely secluded gardens with wonderful views. We are only a 5-minute short stroll from the town centre and only 2 miles from West Bay. There is ample private parking. If you require added privacy and independence, we have a self-catering cottage, The Lodge which has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and open-plan living space with a garden and outdoor seating area.

The Gables has 3 guest rooms; The Strawberry Thief, a king / twin room with private bathroom; The Pink and Rose, a king-size with en-suite; and The Blue Bamboo, a king-size room with private hallway and large en-suite. All rooms are tastefully decorated, light and comfortable with high quality linen and complimentary toiletries. We pride ourselves on the high quality of food served at The Gables. We use locally-soured organic produce in our lovely south-facing dining room. We provide a range of cold buffet options and a delectable hot breakfast. Our sausages and bacon are from RJ Balson (the oldest family butcher in the UK) and our fresh bread from award-winning bakery Leakers. Our cereals include wonderful mueslis by Dorset Cereals!

Bridport has an eclectic blend of shops, restaurants and bars, the Vintage Quarter and Electric Palace. The town has bustling street markets twice a week. The area surrounding Bridport has it all, with historical buildings, stunning beaches and spectacular coastline.
