The cottage was originally 4 adjacent cottages built in 1830. These were renovated to form a large 3-bedroomed house. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher plus laundry facilities in the utility room; a double ground floor bedroom with en suite shower and a double bedroom and twin/king size room upstairs.

The cottage garden has seating, a summerhouse and barbeque. There is also a paddock for visiting horses. You can enjoy many interesting activities nearby including canoeing, fishing, golfing and mountain biking. The market town of Mitcheldean lies on the western side of the Forest of Dean and has attractive old timbered houses and narrow streets, a medieval church and plenty of places to eat and drink.
