Wanney Cottage is a beautifully presented self-catering holiday home overlooking the Cheviot Hills in Ridsdale. Nestled between Kielder Forest to the west, Northumberland National Park to the north and the North Pennines to the south, we are ideally placed to explore the Northumberland countryside.
Dating back to the 19th century as a quarrymans cottage, Wanney has a large lounge with wood burning stove and dining area, a light and airy sunroom where you look out to the open countryside, plus a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. There is a double and a single bedroom and an additional sofa bed if required. Outside there is a lovely garden.
We have many excellent walks in the local area including the Pennine Way and Hadrians Wall Trail. There are also opportunities for sailing, water skiing and fishing on Kielder Water. Hexham is 17 miles away where you can find Hexham Abbey, a racecourse, shops, restaurants and cafes.
