Megstone House

Megstone House is a traditional stone built house perfectly situated just a short walk from the centre of the village, harbour and the beach. Offering a warm welcome and a comfortable stay in our newly refurbished accommodation, ideally placed for guests wishing to explore this beautiful area and all the many attractions and activities.

Boat trips depart regularly to the The Farne Islands to see the fantastic bird life and seals. Bamburgh Castle is a very short drive or a pleasant walk along the beach away. Alnwick Castle with its long history and Harry Potter connection is a 20 minute drive away. Each of our guest bedrooms are decorated to a high standard and have en-suite shower rooms. Early breakfasts can be arranged to accommodate early boat departures and also for photographers who want to catch a spectacular sunrise.

There are many eateries including pubs and restaurants that we can recommend. Excellent base for walkers and cyclists alike. Cycle Route I passes right outside our front door. Secure storage for bikes available.
