The Limes

Penny and Dave would like to welcome you to their bed and breakfast in the picturesque village of Colby in the Eden Valley in Cumbria. The Limes offers a delightful place to stay in this beautiful part of Great Britain. Surrounded by open countryside with the backdrop of the North Pennines and Lake District, the historic town of Appleby is a short walk away offering shops, restaurants and a castle.

We have 3 bedrooms that can either have a king size or twin beds. Each has en suite facilities or a private bathroom, central heating, refreshment tray, Wifi, Freeview TV, DVD and hairdryer. We have a ground floor bedroom for people with mobility problems, off road car parking and secure storage for bicycles. A delightful English or Continental breakfast is included with our own homemade bread. Packed lunches can be arranged too.

There are many opportunities for walking and cycling in the surrounded area, with fishing and golfing also on offer. The Carlisle to Settle Railway stops in Appleby; one of the most scenic and impressive railways in the UK, with viaducts, tunnels and the scenery of the North Pennines, Eden Valley and Yorkshire Dales.
