Nestled in the Lake District among ancient woodland and with magnificent views is Thornthwaite Farm, offering luxurious self-catering holiday homes just 5 miles from the historic town of Broughton-in-Furnace. We have 4 holiday cottages converted from renovated barns for 2 to 6 guests, plus a 4-Star Gold Awarded Log Cabin for 2 and our Camping Barn for up to 12.

All our cottages are named after their former purpose with the beamed ceilings and stone walls still intact and offer everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Our log cabin is purpose-built with open plan living area, fully equipped kitchenette and double bedroom. All our properties have FreeSat TV, DVD, Wifi, kitchens with dishwasher and underfloor heating. Our camping barn has hostel style accommodation with basic facilities and no electricity, perfect for campers or hikers who do not have their own tent!
