New Ing Lodge

New Ing Lodge is an eco-friendly guest house in a Grade 2 listed farmhouse in the picturesque village of Shap. Dating back to the 1700s, owners Scott and Leigh-Ann have transformed the Lodge into a welcoming guest house with bar and camping field. We are dog friendly and have received a Gold Award from Visit England for Green Tourism.

We have 8 guest rooms for bed and breakfast including 2 double, 2 family and 2 triple rooms; all with en suite facilities or private bathrooms. There are also 2 dormitories, with 4 beds and shared bathrooms for those who just want a bed. There is free Wifi and refreshments available. We can also hire the whole lodge out for parties of 24 guests.

The guest lounge and on-site bar is open to all our guests and offers a selection of local real ales and other beverages. Our campsite is based in a field behind the lodge with picnic area, shower and toilet facilities. We are on Wainwrights Coast to Coast walk so welcome many walkers, cyclists and activity groups.
