Built in 1391, and only 8 miles from Exeter is Powerham Castle, stately home of the Earl of Devon with its surrounding parkland. Haldon Forest, on the outer fringes of Exeter is filled with interesting woodland trails for outdoor enthusiasts. The coast is within easy reach, with many award-winning beaches found within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. To the east, is the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Coastline.
