The picturesque harbour is steeped in legends of pirates, wreckers and smugglers and has retained much of its old world charm. There are inns dating from the 15th century, narrow winding streets, colourful cottages, souvenir shops, galleries, tea rooms, a lifeboat station, aquarium, restaurants and breathtaking coastal scenery. The berth for the Lundy Island ferry is a 2 minute stroll away. Coastal cruises and sea life safaris are available. Verity is a stainless steel and bronze statue created by Damien Hirst. The 20.25-metre (66.4 ft) tall sculpture stands on the pier at the entrance to the harbour. There really is something for everyone here!
