Hotels, B&B's and Self Catering in Salcombe

Salcombe is a popular resort town within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town is a haven for sailing, yachting and water sports including sailing, kayaking, surfing and paddle boarding. Salcombe South Sands and North Sands are excellent family beaches, and just across the estuary, you will also find quieter East Portlemouth. To the west lies the beaches of Bigbury-on-Sea and Batham, as well as Burgh Island. All are situated adjacent to the famous South West Coast Path. There is a castle on North Sands and on the headland just beyond South Sands is Overbeck’s Museum and Gardens. The town also has a Maritime Museum. Salcombe has boutique shops and high street names, as well as local art galleries and gift shops. There are great restaurants and bars serving locally caught fresh seafood and local farm produce. Try some Salcombe dairy ice cream or award-winning Salcombe Gin. Salcombe has a busy town calendar including Salcombe Crabfest in April and the Town Regatta in August.
