Sidmouth is a coastal town in the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Jurassic Coast. The town is dominated by stunning vivid red sandstone cliffs and the hills of the Sid Valley. On Salcombe Hill, take in the views over Sidmouth and see as far away as Portland Bill in Dorset. In June, the town plays host to the Sidmouth Literary Festival and in August, the annual Sidmouth Folk Week; a unique week-long seaside celebration of music, dance and song. Also in August, is Sidmouth’s Regatta with lots of sea-based activities, a raft race, live music and a firework display.
