Gateway to Exmoor, the town of South Molton is a fantastic base for a holiday and exploring this area of Devon. This is a classic British market town formed around a pretty central square with many historic buildings. Take the town Heritage Trail or visit the award-winning local museum to find out more. Markets take place on Thursdays and Saturdays providing great local produce, with everything from sausages and homegrown vegetables to local fish. Stop for a cuppa at The Corn Dolly award-winning real tea shop and then take a trip to Quince Honey Farm for a great day out. This family-run working honey farm has been producing honey since 1949 and has fun daily activities, a café and play area for kids. Wondrous Exmoor National Park is rich with deep valleys, ancient oak woodland, England's highest sea-cliffs, many rushing rivers and waterfalls, with medieval villages and towns, harbours and resorts full of character.
