Dating back to the late 19th century, Portman Lodge is the main wing and entrance into a large Victorian building, offering a warm welcome and high quality bed and breakfast accommodation in Blandford Forum. This beautiful period lodge has numerous original fixtures and fittings, in particular the attractive Victorian tiled floor in the entrance hall and corridor.
Each of our delightful 5 rooms are individually decorated with their own theme and they are situated to the side and rear of the building away from road noise. All are fully equipped for a wonderful stay including free wifi, television, hairdryer, and hospitality trays. After a restful sleep you can enjoy a delicious freshly cooked breakfast made from local produce where possible, Vegetarian and vegan options are available and special diets and religious requirements can be catered for.
We offer an excellent base from which to tour or explore Dorset, and surrounding areas. There are fantastic walks nearby, the stunning Jurassic coastline and excellent beaches are a short car ride away. Blandford Forum has a beautiful Georgian square at its heart and a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants. There really is something for everyone here!
