Pwllheli is the main market town of the Llyn Peninsula in Gwynedd in north-west Wales. This charming town is full of character with its narrow streets, independent shops, boutiques, traditional pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as award-winning fish and chips, traditional Welsh ice-cream and seaside rock. Pwllheli has a popular open-air market on Wednesdays and on Sundays in the summer. There are a lot of great things to do in Pwllheli, such as walking the Llyn coastal path or spending the day on the beach. Pwllhelis beaches are mainly south-facing and have been awarded the prestigious European Blue Flag Award. Glan y Mor beach is sandy and sheltered near the lovely marina. South beach is mainly shingle and pebble and stretches the length of the attractive promenade, with a play area and skate park nearby. Glasfryn Park has multiple activities including archery, ten-pin bowling, quad bikes, go karts, kayaking, clay pigeon shooting, coarse fishing, crazy golf and wake boarding. There is a cinema in the town as well as a local leisure centre with a swimming pool. You should also visit the Penarth Fawr Medieval House. Plas yn Rhiw is a delightful manor house with ornamental garden and wonderful views
