The Old Coach House

The Old Coach House Bed and Breakfast near Ripon, North Yorkshire is an award-winning 18th century former coach house nestled in the grounds of North Stainley Hall.

All of our eight ensuite bedrooms are tastefully decorated with an innovative mix of colour, pattern and texture and furnished to a style, which complements the ambience of this traditional Yorkshire Coach House. There is a choice of room grades to suit all tastes. Every bedroom overlooks the intimate and enclosed courtyard garden, whilst some enjoy glimpses of the grounds of the neighbouring North Stainley Hall with its beautiful Lake. All are equipped with a double bed, en-suite facilities, Freeview Digital TV, telephone, refrigerator, room safe, hairdryer, comfortable seating and refreshment tray. There are ground floor rooms for guests who prefer not to climb stairs.

The Old Coach House is very proud to hold the Visit England 5-Star Gold Award rating together with a Visit England Breakfast Award noted ROSE Award. Winners of the 'Best B&B in Yorkshire Award' at the Annual Yorkshire Post Tourism Awards 2023.

There are lots of activities and attractions to enjoy in the local area and the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors are just a short drive away. Ripon is an ancient cathedral city offering many independent shops and the nearby UNESCO World Heritage Site of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden provides a splendid day out.
