The Bruce Arms

The Bruce Arms is an 18th century coaching inn offering a friendly place to stay in the centre of West Tanfield village. With its elegant guest rooms, locally-produced fayre and well-stocked bar, all just 5 miles outside of the small cathedral city of Ripon, there is also car parking and a lovely terrace to enjoy the Yorkshire sunshine.

The 3 guest bedrooms are all equipped with a double bed, en suite shower room, TV, Wifi and hospitality tray. For families and visiting dogs there are more rooms available at our sister establishment, The Bull Inn, just a few yards away. A delicious full English breakfast is included in our tariffs and guests can relax on the terrace or in the lounge with a local ale, fine gin or wine from the bar. Beautifully-crafted lunches and dinners are served from locally-sourced or foraged ingredients and we can also cater for private dining and special events.
