The Speech House Hotel

The Speech House Hotel is a 17th century former hunting lodge nestled in the heart of the Forest of Dean, a few minutes’ drive from Coleford. This grand country house accommodation is AA 3-Star rated, with an AA Rosette awarded restaurants, elegant guest bedrooms and beautiful grounds, making the hotel a popular venue for weddings and events.

Our guests can choose from a variety of 35 rooms, situated in the Main House and Courtyard; which are twin, double or family-sized. Spacious 4-poster rooms and Executive Suites are also available. Some rooms allow dogs. All have en suite facilities, a TV with Freeview channels and hospitality tray. There is also room service.

Dine in Verderer’s Court, The Orangery or The Carolean, offering all levels of dining experience from a relaxed light meal to a fine dining experience. Dietary requirements are catered for and we offer a range of vegetarian and vegan dishes and fine wines.
