The Golden Lion Inn

The Golden Lion Inn is a welcoming country pub situated near the Clwydian Hills in Llangynhafal, about 4 miles from Ruthin and Denbigh. With 2 comfortable guest rooms, a campsite, restaurant, friendly bar and parking, it provides a great stopover for hikers walking the Offa’s Dyke Path or a base for travellers exploring this beautiful area of Wales.

The 2 guest bedrooms can be booked as bed and breakfast or half board. Both have a TV, free Wifi, complimentary toiletries, a hairdryer and beverage tray. Carneddau is a twin room with a Jacuzzi bath in the en suite bathroom and Clywdian is also a twin room with a walk-in en suite shower. A hearty full Welsh breakfast or continental-style breakfast is included.

The large camping field is also nestled below the Clwydian Hills, and also benefits from looking out towards Snowdonia, providing a quiet base. Enjoy dishes from the menu of home cooked food including local produce such as steak, gammon, pies and scampi. The bar stocks a selection of excellent local and regional ales and are proud to have been featured in the Camra Good Beer Guide for many years.
