Set in 2 Acres above picturesque Newtondale, in the heart of attractive National Park village are the tastefully furnished and comfortable Cottages at Mel House. Situated within extensive level grounds having peaceful sitting-out areas with patio tables and chairs plus picnic benches. Indoor Heated Pool, Spa, & Sauna Exclusive to Guests, enclosed water garden with fish pond, barbecue and table tennis.

A superb base for exploring North York Moors National Park, the Coast, and the vibrant City of York. Great for rail enthusiasts as close to the NYM Steam Railway. Each of our delightful cottages has all that you could require for a comfortable stay, all their original features have been retained where possible. Immediately prior to our withdrawal from Visit England's National Accessible Scheme, Swift was accredited as Access Level 'M3 - Independent' as applicable to Wheelchair Users taking a holiday in self-catering accommodation, Mallard was accredited as ‘M3 – Assisted’ as applicable to Wheelchair Users, and Owl as Access Level ‘M1’ in relation to suitability for someone with mobility impairment. We have made no changes which would affect 'access' since these levels of accreditation were awarded.

Each of our four Properties is fully-equipped. Well behaved dog welcome by arrangement.
