Craigengillan Estate

Craigengillan Estate is a 3000-acre country estate offering self-catering holiday cottages and glamping facilities on the edge of Galloway Forest Park. Situated 18 miles outside of Ayr, it provides a quiet and scenic place to stay for families, couples or people who enjoy the outdoors. Dogs are welcome and there are stabling facilities for visiting horses. Activities are available throughout the year on the estate and include white water rafting, canyoning, canoeing, kayaking, hill walking, rock climbing, mountain biking and more.

Guests can choose to stay in either Forget Me Not or Find Me Out, which are 2 renovated stone cottages nestled along the banks of a stream within a woodland clearing. Each sleeping 2 or 3 guests, they have fully-equipped kitchens with an Aga stove, washing machine, dryer, a spacious bathroom with freestanding bathtub and enclosed gardens outside. The first has a beautiful 4-poster bed in the downstairs bedroom, with a sofa bed in the lounge, whereas the second cottage has an upstairs bedroom which can be arranged as a twin or double bed. There are also our timber glamping pods sleeping 2 to 4 guests, with one adapted for wheelchair users.
