The Corn Mill Studio

If you are seeking a creative retreat in scenic Dumfries and Galloway, come to The Corn Mill Studio in the village of Auchencairn, 8 miles south of Castle Douglas. A self-catering bed and breakfast with an artist’s studio, arts and well-being courses, all in eco-friendly accommodation, it is also conveniently placed to enjoy the beauty and attractions of the Solway Coast.

The Corn Mill Studio is an ivy-cladded early 18th century building surrounded by beautiful gardens, woodland and an organic herb garden to awaken the senses. Sleeping 1 to 4 people, it has a double bed and set of bunk beds in the bedroom, an open plan living area with Smart TV, games console, well-equipped modern kitchen and 2 large tables to eat around or work on. There is also a bathroom, Wifi and central heating.

A continental breakfast is included, with a full Scottish breakfast or vegetarian breakfast available if required. We offer a wide range of fun and educational creative activities for all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced, in an autism-friendly environment and including printmaking, drawing and painting, fabric art, circus arts, book binding and more.
