Stag Wood

Stag Wood is located in Barnbarroch which lies approximately 2 miles from Dalbeattie and a mile from the village of Kippford, a picturesque sailing village and a popular holiday destination. A welcoming B & B surrounded by beautiful gardens and the Dalbeattie Forest, it provides a peaceful setting to escape and unwind. Retreats featuring Nordic Walking and Pilates tuition are available.

All 4 guest bedrooms are well-appointed, offering free Wifi and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a single room with a private bathroom, 2 en suite rooms with double or twin beds and a room with king size bed, en suite facilities and a day bed that can be used for any accompanying children. A Full Scottish breakfast is served in the morning to help start the day.

There are many scenic walks and cycle trails around the woodland and along the water’s edge, with golf also available nearby. We offer various weekend retreats throughout the year including Pilates, Nordic Walking, Mindfulness or even paddle boarding.
