Clauchan Holiday Cottages are 5 beautifully-refurbished former stone barns offering pet-friendly self-catering holiday accommodation in the picturesque Girthon Valley near Gatehouse of Fleet. Run by experienced owners The Clark family, these cottages are perfectly placed to enjoy the Solway Coast, Galloway Forest Park and a wide range of outdoors pursuits that are available in this area of south-west Scotland.

Each cottage has original charming features including beamed ceilings, whilst providing contemporary facilities for 1 up to 6 guests. In addition, The Middle Byre is suitable for guests with disabilities, as it is on ground floor level, with a walk-in shower room available. All of the cottages have a modern kitchen, Smart TV, stylish bathroom, dog enclosure, bike storage and car parking. Some also have their own luxurious private hot tub.

Gatehouse of Fleet is about 2 miles away from the cottages. It has a number of places that serve food and some are dog-friendly. The Mill on The Fleet visitors centre has a waterside cafe, book shop and a good display on the history of Gatehouse. It also hosts various art exhibitions throughout the year. The area has many cycling and walking paths. To fish on the local lochs there are boat keys available at the local Spar.
