Tigh Na Mara Hotel

Welcome to Tigh Na Mara Hotel, situated along the beachfront in Sandhead Bay, 7 miles from Stranraer. Meaning ‘House by the Sea’ in Scottish Gaelic, this friendly hotel has elegant bedrooms, a restaurant and views across the sea and mountains, in an area renowned for its mild climate from the Gulf Stream.

All 8 bedrooms have been furnished to a high standard and are in either the main building or the adjacent cottages. There are single, double, twin and family rooms, with some pet-friendly rooms available. All are en suite with TV, free Wifi and a beverage tray. Accessible rooms can be arranged.

Breakfast is included in the room tariffs, with the restaurant also open to all for lunch and dinner. All food is freshly prepared from Scotland’s finest ingredients and the bar serves a range of drinks that can be enjoyed inside or out. Family events, small parties and business functions are accommodated.
