Scaurbridge House

Scaurbridge House is a beautiful Georgian manse house made from local pink sandstone offering bed and breakfast in the village of Penpont. The house is alongside a tributary of the River Nith and offers scenic views across the Lowther Hills. Owner Elizabeth Ann provides guests with a warm welcome and excellent hospitality.

There are 2 bedrooms, both light-filled, spacious and furnished to a high standard. Each includes a hospitality tray with home-made shortbread, and adjacent private bathroom with complimentary toiletries. One of the rooms has a double bed and the other can be arranged as a double or twin. Dogs are allowed by agreement.

Guests are also welcome to relax in the sitting room or out in the garden. After a sound night’s sleep, a 3-course breakfast is served in the morning to help start the day, served in the elegant dining room. Off-road parking is available. The village centre is 10 minutes’ walk away, where you can find tea rooms, shops and a heritage centre.
