Woodpecker Cottage

Situated along the banks of the River Bladnoch in the pretty village of the same name, Woodpecker Cottage is a traditional Scottish cottage refurbished in a contemporary style to provide a self-catering holiday home for up to 6 guests, only a mile from Wigtown and the beautiful Solway Firth coastline.

The living room provides sofas, a wood burning stove in the original fireplace, TV, library of books and a dining table. There is also a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Guests will find a double bedroom on the ground floor, with a double and a twin room upstairs. The bathroom is also downstairs.

Heating and Wifi are available throughout the house. Out the back is an enclosed courtyard garden with picnic table and a BBQ. This leads to another area with shrubbery and a lawn. Other facilities available to guests include the heated games room with pool table, table tennis and a dart board.
