The George Inn

The George Inn is a family-owned village pub with 5 guest rooms situated in the South Hams village of Blackawton, with scenic views of the surrounding countryside. Visit England 3-Star rated, with a Bronze Award for Green Tourism, plus a TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Award for our guest reviews, families and dogs are welcome.

Each of the 5 bedrooms are decorated with their own individual theme. All have en suite facilities, a TV and refreshment tray for making tea and coffee. There are 3 double rooms; plus a room with super king bed, Nespresso coffee machine and space for an extra mattress for accompanying children, as well as a super king room with 2 single folding beds.

The bar offers a range of drinks including real Devon ales and ciders, plus a handpicked wine list. Drinks can be enjoyed inside on comfy seating or out in the beer garden. We also serve a range of classic dishes with a modern twist catering for all tastes, including steaks, locally-caught seafood and vegan dishes. The George is proud to use local and sustainable produce in our restaurant.
