Mallard Cottage

Mallard Cottage is a traditional terraced cottage situated in the village of Grosmont in Yorkshire’s beautiful Esk Valley. Offering all the amenities for a self-catering holiday and located alongside the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, with the occasional steam train puffing past, it is a dream holiday home for children and railway enthusiasts!

Sleeping 4 guests, the cottage has a cosy lounge with sofas, coal burning effect fire, TV, DVD player and dining table; a fully fitted kitchen with integrated electric oven, main bedroom with double 4-poster bed, a room with bunk beds and a family bathroom. The cottage has an enclosed lawned garden with a summer house, and there is car parking.

There are many wonderful walks and cycling trails in the local area and you can take the steam train for a scenic tour across the moors to Pickering or Whitby. Fishing is available along the river and The Station Tavern offers local ales and food and drink if you want to eat out. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is a preserved historic railway stretching for 18 miles. It is the largest preserved heritage railway in the UK.
