Captain Cook Inn

The Captain Cook Inn sits at the top of the coastal village of Staithes, on the Cleveland Way and within the North York Moors National Park. Our facilities include 9 comfortable guest rooms, a bar stocked with local ales and more, a menu of home cooked food and regular live entertainment. The inn is family and dog-friendly.

Each of the 9 bedrooms are equipped with en suite facilities, a TV with Freeview channels and beverage tray. There are double rooms, family rooms for 4 and dog-friendly rooms available, with many offering scenic views across countryside and coast. A delicious breakfast is included to set you up for the day ahead.

Guests can relax in the bar with a pint of our house ale, Northern Navigator, which is specially brewed for us by a local brewery. Meals are served throughout the day, all home-cooked, using the best of fresh, local ingredients. There are ‘specials’, as well as options for vegetarian and gluten-free diets.
