Dating back to 1914, Trig Point 49 is an historic former First World War Army camp in the coastal village of Staithes in the North York Moors National Park. Since 2000, we have lovingly restored some of the barracks to provide 5 letting rooms. There is car parking and we accept luggage drop-offs for people following the national trails.

The 5 bedrooms all have their own entrances from an outdoor decking area. Each one is equipped with en suite shower, Freeview TV, hairdryer, refreshment tray and either a double or twin beds. Room-only or bed and breakfast rates are available, where a continental-style breakfast will be delivered in the morning.

We also have a range of self-catering lodges. Please visit our website for further information. The Captain Cook Inn is next door serving a menu of pub food and local ales, and there are many restaurants and cafés along the harbour. The village also has a Captain Cook Museum, local shops and great fishing opportunities along the river.
