The Swan Inn

The Swan Inn is a 13th century former drovers’ inn located in the pretty village of Pontfadog along the River Ceiriog. Retaining original features including uneven floors, inglenook fireplaces and beamed ceilings, the inn has been providing accommodation and sustenance to travellers throughout the centuries.

Rooms offer a mix of classic and contemporary. There are 2 double bedrooms and a twin room, each equipped with en suite facilities, a mini bar, beverage tray, television and river views. A full cooked Welsh breakfast is served in the morning or a breakfast hamper can be provided for early or late risers with prior arrangement.

Bed and breakfast, or dinner, bed and breakfast and multiple night packages are available. Guests can enjoy delicious food and drink in our child and dog-friendly bar or outside in our courtyard garden. In an area popular with outdoors enthusiasts, the National Trust’s medieval Chirk Castle is also close by.
