The Abbey Hotel

The Abbey Hotel in Bury St Edmunds provides a relaxed and friendly place to stay for adults only. Parts of this historic building date back to the Tudor period, sensitively refurbished to keep many original features, whilst providing contemporary comforts for the leisure or business traveller. The hotel is AA 4-Star rated.

There are Classic Rooms, Deluxe Rooms and Suites. All have en suite facilities, complimentary toiletries, a TV and hospitality tray. Additionally, our 3 Apartments are all individual, with their own kitchen / diner, living room and private bathroom. Two can accommodate couples and the stunning Merchants House has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large lounge.

Guests can also relax in the Drawing Room with its beamed ceiling and comfy chairs or outside in the garden. A full Abbey breakfast is available in the morning or there is a shared kitchen / diner in the basement where guests can make simple meals or bring back takeaways. Groups can be accommodated and there is ample on-site car parking at the hotel.
