Park Head Hotel

Welcome to Park Head Hotel and Bishops Grill, a family-owned establishment situated in the small village of New Coundon near Bishop Auckland. An 18th century former coaching inn, with characterful features including stone fireplaces and original archways outside, there is also a courtyard garden with a children’s play area.

There are over 30 guest bedrooms to choose from, each equipped with en suite bath / shower rooms, Freeview TV, free Wifi, ironing equipment and hospitality tray. There are double, twin and triple rooms, with children welcome and dogs allowed with prior agreement. Breakfast is available to overnight guests in the morning.

Guests can relax with a drink in the friendly bar or outside in the beer garden. Everyone can the enjoy the menu of delicious homemade lunches, afternoon teas and evening meals and the legendary 4-roast carveries on a Sunday! Weddings, business events and private parties can also be accommodated at Park Head Hotel.
