The Hideaway at Gorfanc

For a peaceful and eco-friendly retreat in the Cambrian Mountains near the village of Carno, come to The Hideaway at Gorfanc. Nestled within 11 acres of farmland, just 6 miles north-west of Caersws, it provides the perfect self-catering home for couples, with space for 2+2. A small campsite is also available for wild campers.

The Hideaway is a beautiful timber lodge built using natural materials and eco-friendly paints. The living area has a sofa bed, wood burning stove, dining table and a fully-fitted kitchen made from local oak and beech. The bedroom has a double bed with a headboard made from hazel and rowan, plus space for 2 children’s beds. There is also a bathroom. Wifi is available and the water is heated by solar panels on sunny days. The upstairs balcony provides a vantage point for bird-watching and there are places around the farm for picnics.

There are also several tent pitches around the grounds, each with their own fire pit. A shower, WC and water are available from the main house. Produce grown on the farm can be purchased and transfers from Caersws Railway station can be arranged if required.
