Drovers Retreat

Drovers Retreat is a charming eco-friendly holiday cottage situated in the small rural settlement of Dolau, in Powys, Mid Wales. Visit Wales 4-Star rated with a Silver Award for Green Tourism, the cottage has been sensitively converted from an old stone barn to provide self-catering facilities for 4 guests plus accompanying dogs.

There is an open plan living area with beamed ceilings, flagstone floor, armchairs, wood burning stove, as well as a galley kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, dryer and dining table. Fresh water is derived from a private spring. The bedrooms include a double and twin room and there is also a family bathroom.

Outside, there is a gravelled seating area overlooking woodland which provides a natural playground for children and dogs. A games barn is equipped with snooker, table football and darts. Honesty shop selling supplies. £25.00 charge for dogs. There is also plenty of on-site car parking, including an electric vehicle charging point. A welcome pack of goodies is provided for guests’ arrival.
