Wild Meadow

For a peaceful and relaxing escape to the Welsh countryside, come to Wild Meadow on the Wales and England border, near Presteigne. Offering a self-catering cottage and shepherd’s hut surrounded by over 3 acres of meadows and orchards, with picturesque views across the valley where red kites hover above, it provides a haven for enjoying the outdoors and taking part in activities such as walking and cycling.

Meadow Cottage is an eco-friendly holiday home for 7 people, built from timber and heated by solar energy. The open plan living area has a wood burning stove, TV and a fully-equipped kitchen with washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. The master double bedroom has its own lounge and balcony, and there is a family room with a double and a single bed, plus a downstairs double bedroom. There is also a bathroom and Wifi access.

The Shepherd’s Hut is a cosy hideaway for 2 adults with space for 2 accompanying children. Off-the-grid, it has a double bed, seating, equipped camping kitchen hut, separate toilet and hot shower, and an area outside for a tent. Lighting is powered by solar energy with mains electricity, laundry facilities and Wifi available on site. Dogs are allowed in both the cottage and hut by prior agreement.
