Higher Darracott Farm

Dating back to the 15th century, Higher Darracott Farm offers a warm welcome, excellent accommodation and hearty breakfasts. This beautiful farmhouse is the ideal base for guests wishing to explore the many attractions and activities in the area then return to a warm atmosphere and comfortable surroundings with original features, inglenook fireplace, a wood-burning stove and original beam ceilings.

Each of our delightful, newly refurbished rooms are light and spacious with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Fully equipped with comfortable sitting area, digital television, DVD, hairdryer and welcome tray with tea/coffee and fresh milk. For breakfast you can enjoy a Full traditional breakfast all cooked on the Aga, using local produce with vegetarian options available.

Set within eight and half acres you are assured a relaxing stay, our gardens are there to be enjoyed and boast stunning views over the valley to the sea. With so much to see and do in the area you will be truly spoilt for choice, take a stroll in RHS Rosemoor, cycle along the Tarka Trail, picturesque seaside villages to explore and miles of golden sandy beaches, not to mention the museums to visit and fabulous local restaurants to dine in. Dartmoor, Exmoor and the spectacular coastline of North Devon are only a short car ride away.

We are also pleased to now offer two light and airy self-catering holiday cottages in our lovingly converted, 300 year old barn, with vaulted ceilings and upside down accommodation so you can make the most of the wonderful panoramic view.
