The Old Milking Parlour

The Old Milking Parlour is a beautiful barn conversion offering award-winning self-catering accommodation near Wells in the county of Somerset. Situated on Thrupe Marsh Farm, close to the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the house provides panoramic views across the surrounding countryside and over the Somerset Levels. There are country pubs within 5 minutes’ drive and Wells is just 10 minutes by car.

Sleeping 4 plus an infant, the barn is Visit England 4-Star Gold Award rated. It is stylishly furnished, with a contemporary twist that adds to the character of the original stone walls and vaulted ceilings. All on ground floor level, there is a light and airy open plan living room with patio doors opening onto the courtyard, featuring a comfortable seating area, wood burning stove, TV, dining table and well-equipped kitchen.

There is a master double bedroom with an en suite wet room that opens outside, plus a twin bedroom and family bathroom. Guests can access unlimited free Wifi and the house has central heating throughout. Outside, the garden features seating. Private car parking is provided for 1 vehicle. A short walk from The Old Milking Parlour, on a hilltop, is an Iron Age hill fort. The Mendip Golf Club is also close by.
