The Mash Tun

The Mash Tun Whisky Bar is a quirky inn situated along the banks of the famous River Spey in the village of Aberlour. Dating back to 1896 and built to look like a ship, the pub is close to the route of the Speyside Way walking and cycling trail and the Whisky Trail, making it a popular place to stay in the Moray area of Scotland.

There are 5 boutique-style bedrooms, all named after Speyside whiskies. The Glenlivet Room is a double overlooking the river, with a roll-top bath in the en suite. The Glenfiddich Room and The Glenfarclas Room both have double beds and en suite shower rooms and The Macallan Room has twin beds, an en suite shower and river views. The Aberlour Suite accommodates 4 in a double and a sofa bed plus it has an en suite bathroom.

Food is served all day from breakfast. All dishes are created using the best of local fresh produce wherever possible and there are over 50 different varieties of malt and blended whiskies at the bar. Whisky-tastings, fishing and guided tours can also be arranged and there is storage available for bicycles and other outdoors equipment.
