Craich Cottage is a detached stone-built home, situated in Kirkton on Tough, near Alford. Nestled in a quiet rural location on a working farm and surrounded by its own garden and sheltered by trees, it has been sensitively refurbished and extended to provide Visit Scotland 3-Star rated self-catering facilities for up to 6 guests. It has also attained a Category 3 rating for disabled access and a Silver Award for Green Tourism.

The lounge has a 3-piece suite, TV, Blu-Ray player and patio doors opening to the garden. The fully-equipped kitchen includes an extendable dining table. There is also a twin bedroom downstairs and a double and twin bedroom upstairs. The bathroom has a bath with a shower and grab rails added and there is an additional WC. Outside is an enclosed garden with a lawn, patio and private parking area.

Just 2.5 miles away, the small town of Alford is famous as the home of the Aberdeen Angus cattle breed. The Alford Valley Railway, Grampian Transport Museum, Alford Heritage Museum, Craigievar Castle, Alford Ski Centre, Haughton Country Park and the golf course are popular attractions. The area is excellent as a base from which walkers and cyclists can explore Royal Deeside.
